All of our legends revolve around these beings. In ancient days there called gods. Later after that, they were called angels or demons. Even the modern myths about vampires and werewolves stem from the old knowledge of their powers. They were the source of our technology, and they helped us grow into the race that we are today. They are the Immortals. And with the advancement of society, we forgot about their existence. But they are among us still. In the Albertan city of Esker, there are less than seven thousand people. Nestled at the base of the rocky mountains, in this city it seems that everyone knows everyone and everyone knows everybody else's secrets. Little does the general population know about the secret that is hidden from them; humans aren't the only ones that call Esker home. The forgotten ones live among them, posing as humans as they carry on in their long lives. The Immortals. There are but a few who know about these beings. A long group, founded hundreds of years ago, known only as the Sanctum, have lived opposite of the immortals, those beings only enemy. Using the latest and greatest of human technology, they have only one goal. To purify humanity and purge us of the disease known as the Immortals. And this being modern society, they have hooked up with the top seller and designer in biological and technological advancements; Acosta Netics.
